November 2006 – Michelle Menard, founder and CEO of Choice Translating, is featured in a segment of "UNC Charlotte Alumni Today," which is broadcast at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on UNC Charlotte Cable Television, channel 22. Menard's show airs in rotation with those about other notable alumni. "UNC Charlotte Alumni Today" focuses on outstanding graduates and how their UNC Charlotte education continues to impact them. July 1, 2006 – Vernon Menard, COO of Choice Translating was elected President of the Entrepreneurs' Organization Charlotte Chapter. Vernon has been a member since 2004 and is past President-Elect and Communications Chair. "I'm very proud to take on this position," Menard said, "and am looking forward to being a part of some very exciting projects, and working with some exceptional people over the next 12 months."

Big projects for 2006-2007 include launching the EO accelerator program, an entrepreneurial education program to help owners of businesses with revenues between $250,000 and $1M break through the million dollar ceiling and move their businesses onto a high-growth path. October 2005 – Vernon Menard, COO of Choice Translating spoke to a large and enthusiastic group of students at UNC-Charlotte's Career Day on the topic of "Preparing for the Workforce in a Globalized World."
May 27, 2005 – (From the Charlotte Business Journal) Board members of the Charlotte chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization attended the group's global leadership conference in Washington last week and met Jack Welch, the charismatic former leader of General Electric. The conference is the annual planning meeting of all directors of YEO chapters worldwide. More than 500 attendees from 40 countries converged on D.C. for the event.

Michelle Menard, President and CEO of Choice Translating, attended the presentation. "He was emphatic that success in business is not easy, but it is simple," she says. "He said, 'You have to find your aha! idea that differentiates what you do from the competition, build a strategic plan to implement it, then execute the plan rigorously and fast.'"
April 28, 2005 – Vernon Menard, COO of Choice Translating, joined Roy Davis, President Emeritus of S&D Coffee and Eric Smith, CEO of Brooks Equipment, on a panel discussion to discuss "Tips on Controlling Costs" for the Ben Craig Center's Entrepreneurial Educational Seminar.
April 26, 2005 – Choice Translating celebrated its 10th anniversary in style with champagne and hors d'œuvres. To commemorate the occasion, Choice donated $1,000 each to SIFE (Student's in Free Enterprise); and the Smith Academy of International Languages (a K-8 language immersion magnet school). Mayor Pat McCrory and County Commissioner Jennifer Roberts were also on hand for the celebration.
